In lieu of making a New Year’s “resolution”, many people have started doing a “word of the year”. I first learned of this just over a year ago, so I came up with a word of the year for 2019, which was “Perspective”. This was the word that God had placed on my heart.

At the start of 2019, I had only been married for about two and a half weeks and we had recently moved into our home. The word “perspective” could not have been more fitting to help me through our first year of marriage. There were many times throughout 2019 where the word would come to my mind and I would remind myself to re-evaluate the way I looked at that situation.

For this new year, 2020, the word that God has placed on my heart is “GROWTH”. I look forward to seeing how this word will impact mine and my family’s lives this year.
